Regina Kamenshchikova started playing organ in 1966 when the piano class graduate of Em. Darzins' Music College and the student of Professor Igor Kalnins' piano class at the Conservatory decided to learn organ playing as an elective course parallel to her piano studies. But the elective course became her speciality. Her interests and time were shared between piano and organ. She was fascinated also by the extraordinary personality of the organ class Professor Nikolajs Vanadzins.

In 1970 Regina Kamenshchikova obtained her piano diploma, but in 1971 she graduated from the organ class. Then she took a post-graduate course at the Moscow Conservatory with organ Professor Leonid Roizman.

She has given concerts in Petersburg, Moscow, Tallinn, and in many cities of Russia and other ex-Soviet republics.

This program is based on prose of the same name written by Marģeris Zariņš. The music selected in this program highlights this literary work. In order to carry out the realization of this form's convincing concept is by the means of video and light artforms. The Riga Cathedral is an exceptional example of architecture, moreover, taking into consideration the enormity of the church, the use of light and projection, in essence, are the best possible stage design elements. Together with light effects, video-artist Krišs Salmanis' projected moving pictures will tell the tale and will enhance the resounding music creating a unified ideological alternative world.
